You can remove conversations from your Chats list if you no longer wish to keep them.
However, it’s important to understand that deleting a Chat only removes it from your account. It doesn’t delete messages from the other member’s account or prevent them from contacting you again.
How Do I Delete a Chat?
You can remove a conversation through the RSVP website or mobile app.
On the RSVP Website
- Log in to your RSVP account.
- Go to Chats.
- Find the conversation you’d like to remove.
- Click the X icon in the upper-right corner of the conversation.
- Confirm that you’d like to remove the Chat.
On the RSVP Mobile App
- Open the RSVP app.
- Go to Chats.
- Find the conversation you’d like to remove.
- Press and hold the conversation, then swipe left.
- Tap Remove to delete the conversation.
Can I Recover a Deleted Chat?
Once you’ve removed a conversation, it cannot be manually restored by RSVP.
However, if the other member contacts you again and their profile is still available, the conversation may reappear in your Chats.
We recommend making sure you no longer need the conversation before removing it.
Can I Delete or Unsend a Message I’ve Already Sent?
No. Once you’ve sent a Wink, Chat message or photo to another RSVP member, it cannot be recalled, edited or deleted from the recipient’s account.
For security reasons, RSVP doesn’t offer an option to unsend messages after they’ve been delivered.
This helps maintain the integrity of conversations and ensures that interactions on the platform remain transparent and accountable.
Does Deleting a Chat Block the Other Member?
No. Removing a conversation doesn’t block or report the other member.
If you don’t want someone to view your profile or contact you again, you can block their profile.
If the member has behaved inappropriately or breached our Community Guidelines, you can also report their profile for review.
Remember: Deleting a Chat removes it from your conversation list, but it doesn’t undo messages you’ve already sent or prevent future contact.
