Ready to make a connection? RSVP makes it easy to express interest, start conversations and get to know other members.
To contact someone on RSVP, you’ll need to have a registered account with an active profile that isn’t hidden or on a break.
There are two main ways to connect with other members: sending a free Wink or starting a Chat using a Stamp.
1. Send a Free Wink to Show You’re Interested
A Wink is a free way to let another member know you’re interested without using a Stamp.
You can send a Wink to someone who catches your eye and choose a message that best expresses your interest.
If they respond positively, you’ll know they’re open to connecting, and either of you can decide to use a Stamp to start a conversation.
Good to know:
- Sending and replying to Winks is completely free.
- You’ll see a notification in your Winks section when someone sends you a Wink.
- Responding to Winks is a great way to show other members you’re active and engaged.
- If you’re not interested, you can simply select Not Interested.
Tip: We recommend sending a free Wink first and waiting for a positive response before using a Stamp. This can help you gauge whether the interest is mutual.
2. Start a Chat Using a Stamp
If you’d like to get to know someone better, you can use a Stamp to start a private conversation.
A Stamp allows you to initiate a Chat with another member and communicate with them for 30 days.
Once a Chat has been started:
- Both members can exchange messages during the 30-day contact period.
- You don’t need to use another Stamp for each message.
- It’s free to reply when another member uses a Stamp to contact you.
You can purchase Stamps in packs or receive them as part of an eligible Premium subscription.
Tip: If you’ve received a positive Wink response, it’s a great opportunity to use a Stamp and start getting to know each other.
3. Where Can I Find My Chats?
You can find your conversations in the Chats section of RSVP.
Simply select the Chats tab to view your conversations, read new messages and reply to members you’ve connected with.
If someone has used a Stamp to contact you, you can reply without purchasing or using a Stamp yourself.
4. What Happens When the 30-Day Chat Period Ends?
Each Stamp opens a 30-day contact period with the member you’ve contacted.
Once that period expires, you’ll need to use another Stamp if you want to start a new contact period with that member.
In some circumstances, you may qualify for a replacement Stamp under our Stamp Guarantee, such as when you’ve received a positive Wink response but your first personal message remains unread after the contact period expires.
