We understand how disappointing it can be when you’ve taken the time to send someone a Wink or message and haven’t received a response.
On RSVP, Winks and Chat messages are generally delivered successfully, but whether someone responds is entirely up to them.
Everyone approaches online dating differently. Some members may be busy, taking a break from dating, or simply not ready to respond. Others may decide that the connection isn’t quite right for them.
While we encourage members to communicate respectfully, RSVP can’t guarantee or require someone to reply.
What Can I Do If Someone Hasn’t Replied?
If you haven’t received a response, here are a few things you can try:
- Give them some time: Not everyone checks RSVP every day, so they may take a little longer to respond.
- Send a friendly follow-up: If you’ve already started a Chat and haven’t heard back after a few days, consider sending a polite follow-up message while your contact period is still active.
- Keep exploring: Continue reviewing your Matches, sending free Winks and connecting with other members who share your interests.
- Don’t take it personally: A lack of response doesn’t necessarily reflect anything about you. Everyone has their own preferences and circumstances.
Tip: We recommend sending a free Wink first and waiting for a positive response before using a Stamp. This can help you gauge whether the interest is mutual before starting a Chat.
Can I Get My Stamp Back If Someone Doesn’t Reply?
You may be eligible for a replacement Stamp under the RSVP Stamp Guarantee, but certain conditions must be met.
You may qualify if:
- The other member sent you a Wink or responded positively to your Wink.
- You then used a Stamp to send them a personal message.
- Your first message remains unread when the 30-day contact period expires.
If all these conditions are met, a replacement Stamp will be issued automatically.
