A Wink is a free way to let another RSVP member know you’re interested without using a Stamp. It’s a simple way to break the ice and see if the interest is mutual before starting a Chat.
Sending and replying to Winks is completely free for all RSVP members.
How to Send a Wink
Found someone you’d like to get to know? Here’s how to send them a Wink:
- Open the member’s profile.
- Select the purple Wink icon, or scroll to the bottom of their profile to find the Wink section.
- Choose the message you’d like to include with your Wink.
- Tap or click Send Wink.
The other member can then choose whether they’d like to respond positively or decline your Wink.
How to Respond to a Wink
When someone sends you a Wink, a notification will appear on your Winks tab.
To respond:
- Log in to your RSVP account.
- Go to the Winks tab.
- Open your Received Winks.
- Select Interested or Not Interested.
- Choose a message to include with your response.
- Tap or click Send.
That’s it! Your response will be sent to the other member.
Should I Respond to Every Wink?
We encourage members to respond to Winks whenever possible, even if they’re not interested.
Sending a quick Not Interested response is a polite way to let someone know where they stand rather than leaving them waiting.
Remember, replying to Winks is completely free, and you’re never obligated to continue interacting with someone you’re not interested in.
What Happens After a Positive Wink Response?
If someone responds positively to your Wink, it means they’re interested in getting to know you.
Either of you can then use a Stamp to start a private Chat.
A Stamp opens a 30-day contact period, allowing both members to exchange messages without using additional Stamps during that period.
Tip: We recommend sending a free Wink first and waiting for a positive response before using a Stamp. This can help you find out whether the interest is mutual.
