When you use a Stamp to start a Chat with another RSVP member, you can exchange unlimited messages for 30 days.
Once the 30-day contact period ends, your conversation expires. However, this doesn’t mean your previous Chat has disappeared.
You can still view your expired conversations and reopen them using another Stamp if you’d like to continue chatting.
Where Can I Find My Expired Conversations?
RSVP organises your Chats into two categories:
- Active Conversations: Chats that are still within their 30-day contact period. These appear in your main Chat list.
- Expired Conversations: Chats where the 30-day contact period has ended. These are stored separately so you can access your previous conversations.
To find your expired Chats:
- Log in to your RSVP account.
- Go to Chats.
- Select Expired Conversations.
- Browse your previous conversations and select the member you’d like to reconnect with.
How Do I Reopen an Expired Conversation?
If you’d like to continue chatting with someone after your 30-day contact period has expired:
- Open the member’s profile or your previous conversation.
- Select Continue Conversation.
- You’ll be prompted to use an available Stamp or purchase one if you don’t have any.
- Once you’ve applied a Stamp, you’ll be taken to the Chat page.
- Type your message and select the Send arrow.
This will open a new 30-day contact period with that member, allowing you to exchange unlimited messages again.
Do I Need Another Stamp to Continue an Expired Chat?
Yes. Once your 30-day contact period has expired, you’ll need to use another Stamp to reopen the conversation.
You only need one Stamp per new 30-day contact period, and the other member can reply for free.
Will My Previous Messages Disappear When a Chat Expires?
No. When a conversation expires, it’s moved to Expired Conversations rather than being automatically deleted.
You can still view your previous Chat history and reopen the conversation if you’d like to reconnect.
Good to know: Previous conversations may no longer be available if the other member’s account has been deleted, suspended or otherwise removed from RSVP.
