RSVP uses simple icons and indicators to help you understand your Chat activity, message status and new notifications.
Here’s what the different icons mean.
What Do the Green and Grey Dots Mean?
You may notice a coloured dot next to a member’s name when viewing their profile or Chat.
- 🟢 Green dot: The member has been online within the last hour.
- ⚪ Grey circle: The member is currently offline.
These indicators can help you understand whether someone has been active recently, but they don’t guarantee that the member is available to Chat or will respond straight away.
What Does the Green Tick Mean in Chat?
A green tick (✓) next to a message you’ve sent means the recipient has read your message.
If your message doesn’t have a green tick, it may not have been read yet.
Keep in mind that even if someone has read your message, they may not be ready to respond. Everyone has their own pace when it comes to communicating.
What Does the Red Dot Mean in Chats?
In the RSVP mobile app, a red dot on the Chats icon indicates that you have an unread message or new Chat activity.
To clear the notification:
- Open the RSVP mobile app.
- Go to Chats.
- Open the conversation with the unread message or new activity.
Once you’ve viewed the relevant conversation, the red dot should disappear.
