If you’ve received a wink notification but can’t find it on your Winks page, don’t worry — there are a few common reasons why this can happen.
How Winks Work
Winks are a simple way to show interest in another member.
- If you receive a wink, it will stay on your Winks page for up to 14 days
- If you send a wink and don’t receive a response, it will expire after 14 days
- If a wink receives a response (positive or negative), it will remain visible for up to 28 days
- If you respond positively, the wink stays for 28 days or until a conversation starts
- If you respond negatively, the wink is removed immediately
After these timeframes, winks will automatically disappear from your list.
Why a Wink May Be Missing
Sometimes a wink may disappear sooner than expected. This can happen if:
- The sender’s profile has been suspended or removed
- The sender has deleted their account or taken a break
- The profile is currently under review for authenticity or security reasons
In these cases, the wink will be removed from your Winks page automatically.
Our Approach to Safety
We work continuously to keep RSVP a safe and genuine environment.
This includes:
- Regular profile reviews and monitoring
- Use of automated systems, such as AI language checks and photo analysis
- IP blocking and manual reviews by our team
While we actively detect and remove suspicious accounts, there may be rare cases where a profile is able to send a wink before being reviewed.
What You Can Do
If a wink disappears, there’s usually no action required. It simply means the profile is no longer available or the wink has expired.
If you ever feel unsure about a profile or interaction, you can report it to our Support Team for further review.
We understand this can sometimes be confusing, and we’re always working to improve our systems to provide a better and safer experience for all members.
