Having trouble logging in to RSVP? There are several reasons why you might be unable to access your account.
Some login issues can be resolved by checking your details or resetting your password. Others may require a security review.
Here’s what the different login error messages mean and what you can do next.
1. Incorrect Login Details
If you see the message:
“Invalid login. Please check the details and try again.”
This means the login details you’ve entered don’t match our records.
What you can do:
- Double-check your email address, username or mobile number.
- Make sure you’ve entered your password correctly.
- Check that Caps Lock isn’t turned on.
- If you registered using Google or Apple, try signing in using the same method.
- If you’ve forgotten your password, select Forgot your password? on the login page.
You can also follow our guide: How to Reset Your Password.
2. Too Many Failed Login Attempts
If you enter an incorrect password five times, RSVP may temporarily lock your account to protect it from unauthorised access.
You’ll see the message:
“Too many failed attempts. Please try again later.”
What you can do:
- Wait approximately one hour, then try logging in again.
- Reset your password if you’ve forgotten it.
If you’re still unable to log in after trying these options, there may be another restriction affecting your account.
3. “This Account Is No Longer Active”
If you see the message:
“This account is no longer active”
Your account may have been:
- Temporarily locked or suspended.
- Restricted while undergoing a safety or security review.
- Deleted or permanently terminated.
- Affected by a period of extended inactivity.
Unlike an incorrect password or temporary login lock, this message may indicate that your account requires further review.
Why Would RSVP Restrict an Account?
RSVP uses automated security systems and account reviews to help protect members and maintain a genuine dating community.
An account may be restricted for several reasons, including:
- Unusual login activity or access from an unexpected location.
- Account activity that requires additional security checks.
- Concerns about the authenticity of a profile.
- Potential breaches of RSVP’s Terms of Service or community guidelines.
- Extended account inactivity.
A security restriction doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve done something wrong. Some restrictions are precautionary and may be resolved after further review.
If you’re seeing the message “This account is no longer active”, please let us know so we can review your account and advise you of the next steps.
Depending on the outcome of our review, we may ask you to provide additional information or complete identity verification before access can be restored.
Please note that account reinstatement is subject to review and cannot be guaranteed.
