Your interests are a great way to show other RSVP members what you enjoy and what makes you unique.
Whether you’re passionate about travelling, music, sports, books or simply enjoying a good movie, sharing your interests helps other members get to know you and discover what you might have in common.
We recommend completing as many interest categories as possible to make your profile more informative and help you discover meaningful connections.
What Interests Can I Add?
RSVP allows you to select your favourite interests across five categories.
| Interest Category | What You Can Share |
|---|---|
| Activities & Hobbies | Your favourite indoor and outdoor activities, hobbies and things you enjoy doing in your spare time. |
| Movies & Series | Your favourite movies, television series and genres you enjoy watching. |
| Reading & Podcasts | Books, authors, podcasts and topics you enjoy exploring. |
| Sports | Sports you enjoy playing, watching or following. |
| Music | Your favourite music genres, artists and songs. |
For each category, you can:
- Select up to 5 favourite interests from the available options.
- Write a description of up to 1,000 characters to share more about your interests and preferences.
You don’t need to be an expert in any particular activity. Simply share what you genuinely enjoy!

Why Should I Complete My Interests?
RSVP is designed to help members discover people based on their preferences and shared interests.
Completing your Interests section can help you:
- Find common ground: Discover members who enjoy similar activities, music, movies or hobbies.
- Start conversations: Give other members something interesting to ask you about.
- Show your personality: Help potential matches understand what you enjoy beyond your photos and basic profile details.
- Explore Common Interests: Make it easier to recognise shared interests when browsing other members.
Tip: Try completing all five categories, even if you only select one or two favourites in each. The more genuine information you share, the easier it is for someone to find something they have in common with you.
Tips for Writing Your Interest Descriptions
Your descriptions don’t need to be long or complicated. A few personal details can make your profile more engaging.
For example:
Activities & Hobbies
“I enjoy weekend road trips, exploring new cafés and spending time outdoors. I’m always up for discovering somewhere new!”
Movies & Series
“I love a good mystery series, classic comedies and movies based on true stories. Always looking for recommendations!”
Reading & Podcasts
“I enjoy biographies, historical fiction and podcasts about travel, science and interesting people.”
Sports
“I love watching tennis and cricket, and I enjoy going for long walks to stay active.”
Music
“My playlist is a mix of 80s classics, pop and acoustic music. I also love seeing live performances.”
Remember, your interests should reflect who you really are. There’s no need to select activities simply because you think they’ll appeal to other members.
Can I Change My Interests Later?
Absolutely!
Your interests may change over time, and you can update them whenever you like.
Simply return to My Profile > Interests on the website or Me > Edit Interests in the app.
Keeping your interests up to date helps ensure your profile continues to reflect your personality and lifestyle.
