At RSVP, we review profiles and photos to help maintain a safe, genuine and respectful dating community.
If your profile or photo doesn’t meet our Community Guidelines or Terms of Use, it may be rejected. However, what happens next depends on whether the rejection relates to your profile or an uploaded photo.
Why Was My Profile Rejected?
Your RSVP profile may be rejected if it contains information or content that breaches our Community Guidelines.
Common reasons include:
- Personal contact information: Email addresses, phone numbers, social media usernames or requests to communicate outside RSVP.
- Sexual innuendo or inappropriate content: Sexually suggestive language, explicit references or inappropriate relationship requests.
- Marital status or relationship intentions: Misleading marital information, requests for extramarital affairs or secret relationships.
- Offensive or discriminatory language: Abusive, threatening, disrespectful or discriminatory statements.
- False or misleading information: Inaccurate personal details, impersonation or information intended to deceive other members.
- Advertising or financial requests: Business promotions, requests for money or commercial solicitation.
- Other Community Guidelines violations: Content or behaviour that doesn’t comply with RSVP’s Terms of Use.
What Happens If My Profile Is Rejected?
If your profile is rejected, your RSVP account will be suspended.
Depending on the reason for the rejection, we may:
- Review your account to determine whether it can be reinstated.
- Ask you to complete additional identity verification before reactivating your account.
- Permanently lock your account if the violation is serious or the account is not eligible for reinstatement.
Important: Account reactivation is not guaranteed and depends on the outcome of our review.
Why Was My Photo Rejected?
RSVP reviews uploaded photos to ensure they are appropriate and genuinely represent members.
Your photo may be rejected for reasons such as:
- Your face isn’t clearly visible: Blurry, dark or heavily filtered photos.
- The photo doesn’t represent you: Celebrity photos, stock images or misleading AI-generated images.
- Inappropriate content: Nudity, sexually explicit images or offensive material.
- Photos featuring children: Images containing anyone under 18 years of age.
- Contact information or advertising: Photos containing phone numbers, social media usernames or promotional content.
- Poor image quality: Photos that don’t meet RSVP’s technical requirements.
See the Photo Policy Guidelines for your reference.
What Happens When I Upload a Photo?
When you upload a new photo, it may be placed pending review before appearing on your profile.
Once reviewed:
- Approved: Your photo will appear on your RSVP profile.
- Rejected: Your photo will not be uploaded or displayed on your profile.
A rejected photo does not automatically mean your account is suspended.
How Long Does Photo Approval Take?
Photos requiring manual review may take up to 24 hours to be approved or rejected.
While your photo is pending review, it won’t appear on your public profile.
If your photo is rejected, you can upload a different photo that follows RSVP’s Photo Policy Guidelines.
What If I Think My Profile or Photo Was Rejected by Mistake?
If you believe your profile or photo was rejected incorrectly, you can request a review.
Please let us know whether the rejection relates to your profile or photo, along with any relevant details.
For suspended accounts, we may need to complete additional checks or request identity verification before determining whether the account can be reactivated.
Please note: Some account restrictions are permanent, and reinstatement may not be possible.
