Whether you’re taking some time for yourself, focusing on a new relationship, or simply want to step away from dating for a while, RSVP gives you the option to temporarily hide your profile without permanently deleting your account.
Taking a break means you can return to RSVP whenever you’re ready.
How to Hide Your RSVP Profile
If you’d like to take a break from meeting new people, you can temporarily hide your profile through your account settings.
RSVP Website
- Log in to your RSVP account.
- Click your Profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Go to My Account
- Look for the option to Take a Break.
- Follow the prompts to confirm your selection.
Mobile App
- Open the RSVP app and log in to your account.
- Tap Me in the bottom-right corner.
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Select Take a Break under My Account.
- Follow the prompts to confirm.
Once your profile is hidden, it will no longer be visible to other members browsing RSVP.
What Happens When I Hide My Profile?
When you temporarily hide your profile:
- Your account remains active: Your RSVP account is not permanently deleted.
- Your profile is hidden: Other members won’t be able to discover your profile through normal browsing or search.
- Your information is retained: Your profile details, photos, and preferences remain saved.
- You can return later: You can make your profile visible again whenever you’re ready.
Good to know: Hiding your profile is different from deleting your RSVP account. Your information remains associated with your account while your profile is hidden.
How to Make Your Profile Visible Again
Ready to start meeting people again?
You can return to your account settings and tap the option to Reactivate your profile.
Once your profile is visible again, other members can discover you based on your profile information and their search preferences.
Does Hiding My Profile Cancel My Premium Subscription?
No. Hiding your profile does not automatically cancel an active Premium subscription.
If you have an ongoing subscription, it may continue to renew according to your existing billing arrangement, even while your profile is hidden.
If you don’t want your subscription to renew, make sure you cancel the automatic renewal separately through the platform where you purchased it.
You can review your subscription details and renewal information in your account or through your relevant payment provider.
What’s the Difference Between Hiding My Profile and Premium Privacy?
RSVP also offers Premium Privacy, which allows eligible Premium subscribers to control who can view their profile.
If you simply want to take a break, temporarily hiding your profile may be the better option.
If you’d prefer to continue using RSVP while limiting who can see you, Premium Privacy may be more suitable.
Can I Permanently Delete My Account Instead?
Yes. If you’ve decided that you no longer want to use RSVP, you can choose to permanently delete your account.
Unlike temporarily hiding your profile, deleting your account is intended to permanently close your RSVP membership.
If you’re unsure whether you want to leave RSVP for good, taking a break may be a better option.
