To help keep RSVP safe and secure, we may ask you to complete Identity Verification (ID Verification) as part of our account security and authenticity checks.
This helps us confirm your identity, prevent fraudulent activity and ensure accounts comply with RSVP’s Terms of Use.
Identity Verification may be requested during registration, when updating your account or when unusual or suspicious activity is detected.
Why Am I Being Asked to Verify My Identity?
We use automated security checks and account reviews to help protect our community.
You may be asked to complete Identity Verification if:
- Your account has been locked or suspended.
- Unusual or suspicious account activity has been detected.
- Additional checks are needed to confirm your identity.
- Your account information requires further verification.
- Your account is undergoing a security or authenticity review.
Being asked to verify your identity doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve done anything wrong. Sometimes, legitimate accounts may be flagged for additional security checks.
Under RSVP’s Terms of Use, we may request identification at any time to verify your identity or confirm compliance with our Terms.
What Identification Documents Are Accepted?
You must provide one of the following valid government-issued photo IDs:
- Passport
- Driver’s Licence
Your identification document must:
- Be valid, current and not expired.
- Clearly display your photograph.
- Show your full name.
- Include your date of birth.
- Clearly display the document’s expiry date.
Documents that are expired, unclear, incomplete or missing the required information may not be accepted.
How to Complete Identity Verification
If you’re asked to complete Identity Verification, please follow these steps:
- Prepare a clear photograph or scanned copy of your valid passport or driver’s licence.
- Make sure your photograph, full name, date of birth and expiry date are clearly visible.
- Reply to the verification email you received from RSVP and attach your identification document, or submit your ID directly to us if you’ve been instructed to do so.
- Once received, we will review your identification and respond to you with the outcome.
Important: Only provide your identification in response to a genuine verification request from RSVP.
What Happens After I Submit My Identification?
Once you’ve submitted your ID, we will review your document and account information.
We will respond to you with the outcome of our review and let you know if any additional information is required.
If your account is locked or suspended, successfully verifying your identity does not automatically guarantee reinstatement. Account access depends on the outcome of our security review and compliance with RSVP’s Terms of Use.
What If My Identification Is Rejected?
Your identification may be rejected if:
- Your document has expired or is no longer valid.
- Your photograph or personal details are unclear.
- Required information is missing or obscured.
- Your document appears altered or cannot be authenticated.
- The information provided does not match your RSVP account details.
If we need additional information or a clearer copy of your identification, we will let you know.
Is My Personal Information Kept Private?
Your privacy and security are important to us.
- Your identification documents are never displayed on your RSVP profile or shared with other members.
- Your identification is used for identity verification, account security and other legitimate purposes.
- Your personal information is handled in accordance with RSVP’s Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.
