Not sure where to begin? Follow this simple checklist to make the most of your RSVP experience.
✅ Step 1: Create Your Free RSVP Account
Joining RSVP is completely free!
To get started:
- Visit the RSVP website or download the RSVP app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Select the option to join or create an account.
- Enter your basic details, including your name, date of birth, location, mobile number, and email address.
- Verify your mobile number using the six-digit verification code sent to you.
- Follow the prompts to complete your registration.
Good to know: Your personal contact information, including your email address, mobile number, and full date of birth, is not displayed to other members.
✅ Step 2: Complete Your Profile
Your profile is your opportunity to introduce yourself to other RSVP members.
Take a few minutes to:
- Write a friendly description about yourself.
- Share your hobbies, interests, and lifestyle.
- Describe what you’re looking for in a relationship.
- Complete your personal details and preferences.
Tip: Be genuine and positive. A thoughtful profile helps other members get to know you and can encourage more meaningful connections.
✅ Step 3: Add Your Profile Photos
Photos help other members recognise you and get a better sense of your personality.
You can upload up to 10 photos to your RSVP profile.
For the best results:
- Choose clear, recent photos of yourself.
- Use a friendly photo where your face is visible.
- Add photos that reflect your hobbies or lifestyle.
- Avoid heavily filtered or misleading images.
All uploaded photos are reviewed to ensure they meet RSVP’s Photo Policy.
Tip: You can also complete optional photo verification to receive a green verification tick on your profile.
✅ Step 4: Set Your Match Preferences
Let RSVP know what you’re looking for in a potential partner.
Depending on the available options, you can set preferences such as:
- Age range.
- Distance or location.
- Height.
- Lifestyle and personal preferences.
- Other relationship criteria.
These preferences help you discover members who may be compatible with you.
Good to know: You may occasionally receive interest from members outside your preferences if your profile matches what they’re looking for.
✅ Step 5: Explore Your Matches
Now comes the exciting part: discovering other members!
You can explore profiles through different sections of RSVP, including:
- Matches: Discover potential connections.
- Nearby: Browse members based on location.
- Common Interests: Find people who share similar hobbies.
- Search: Explore profiles using available filters.
- Viewed Me: See members who have viewed your profile.
- Favourites: Save profiles you’d like to revisit.
Take your time reading profiles to find people who share your interests, values, and relationship goals.
✅ Step 6: Send Your First Free Wink
Found someone who catches your interest?
Send them a Wink!
A Wink is a completely free way to express interest in another member without using a Stamp.
To send a Wink:
- Open the profile of someone you’re interested in.
- Look for the purple Wink button below their profile photo.
- Tap or click the button to send your Wink.
The other member can choose to respond positively or select Not Interested.
Tip: We recommend sending a free Wink first and waiting for a positive response before using a Stamp to start a conversation.
✅ Step 7: Check and Respond to Your Winks
Don’t forget to check whether someone has expressed interest in you!
Visit the Winks section to see Winks you’ve received.
You can:
- Respond positively if you’re interested.
- Select Not Interested if you don’t feel they’re the right match.
- Leave the Wink unanswered if you’re not ready to respond.
Sending and responding to Winks is free.
✅ Step 8: Start a Conversation
When you’re ready to get to know someone better, you can start a personal conversation using a Stamp.
Stamps are required to initiate new conversations on RSVP.
You can purchase Stamps individually, in packs, or through an eligible Premium subscription.
Once either member uses a Stamp to start a conversation, both members can exchange messages during the 30-day contact period without needing another Stamp for that conversation.
Good to know: If you use a Stamp after receiving a positive Wink response and your first message remains unread for 30 days, you may qualify for a replacement Stamp under the RSVP Stamp Guarantee.
✅ Step 9: Stay Safe While Connecting
Your safety is important to us.
As you begin meeting new people:
- Keep your personal contact details private.
- Take your time getting to know someone.
- Avoid sharing financial information.
- Never send money to someone you’ve met online.
- Be cautious of anyone who pressures you to move conversations off RSVP.
- Use the Block or Report features if you encounter suspicious or inappropriate behaviour.
Remember, genuine connections take time, and you should never feel pressured to share information or meet someone before you’re comfortable.
✅ Step 10: Enjoy the Journey!
Online dating is about discovering new people and finding connections that feel right for you.
Not every Wink will receive a response, and not every conversation will lead to a relationship. That’s a normal part of meeting new people.
