For privacy reasons, RSVP doesn’t show the exact date or time another member was last active or last online.
We know this was a useful feature for some members. However, we removed it to give everyone more privacy and make using RSVP feel more comfortable. Showing exact login times could sometimes create unnecessary expectations around when someone should read or respond to a message.
How can I tell if someone has been online recently?
While we don’t show a member’s exact last active time, you may see an online indicator in Chats:
- A green dot next to a contact means they’ve been online within the last hour.
- A grey circle means they’re no longer online.
These indicators are designed to give you a general idea of recent activity without displaying someone’s exact login history.

What happens to profiles that haven’t been used for a while?
Profiles don’t remain active in RSVP indefinitely if someone stops logging in.
If a member hasn’t logged in for one year, their profile becomes dormant. After a further year of dormancy, the profile may be deleted from our system.
Dormant accounts, blocked profiles, suspended members and members who are on a break aren’t included in Matches, Common Interests, Tag Matches or Search Results.
So, while you won’t see an exact “last active” date, the profiles you discover through these areas won’t include accounts that have become dormant.
How do I know if my message has been read?
In Chats, a green tick next to your message means the recipient has read it.
You’ll also see a red dot for unread messages in your Chats, making it easier to keep track of conversations you haven’t opened yet.
We understand that removing exact “last active” information may be an adjustment if you found the feature helpful, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to balance useful connection features with member privacy.
