Use this feature if you need to block a member from viewing your profile or contacting you.
How it works
The blocked feature is a two-way blocking feature. When you block a member from being able to view your profile, you and the member you have blocked will no longer be able to view each other's profile, appear in searches or contact each other.
Your profiles will also be excluded from any Matches or Discover emails.
How to block a member
You can only block a member you have an existing conversation with in Chat.
To block a member:
- Go to Chat.
- Open your conversation with the member you want to block.
- Select the three-dot icon (⋯) within the conversation.
- Select Block and confirm.
Once blocked, you will no longer be able to see or contact each other through RSVP.
What if I haven’t chatted with the member?
If you haven’t started a conversation with the member, the Block option will not be available.
If you’re concerned that a profile is suspicious, inappropriate or may be breaking RSVP’s rules, please use the Report feature so our team can review the account.
If you’ve exchanged private contact details
Blocking someone on RSVP only prevents contact through RSVP.
If you’ve already shared your personal email address, mobile number or other contact details, you may also need to block the person directly through your email provider, phone or messaging service.
For additional privacy, consider using a separate email address for online dating that does not contain identifying personal information.
